Field Notes

Comprised of 15 states, Germany lies in the heart and centre of Europe. Today with its 87 million people, it is the economic engine of Europe. Baden-Wurtemburg, where you will be staying and working is one of only four states in Germany in budget surplus. The unemployment rate is near zero and the cream of the crop of students from all over the country choose to come here and study at Germany's oldest University - the University of Heidelberg. This means having an impact on their lives and leading them to be disciples of Christ will impact the rest of Germany, Europe and the world.

Spiritually speaking, Germany is one of the most secular countries in the world. Christianity is marginalised or ignored completely. It is our goal to encourage German and international students to think about the fundamental questions surrounding life - questions of origin, meaning, morality and destiny and to hear the Christian worldview as it addresses these questions. Through these conversations we hope to lead many to the Lord and develop discipleship relationships with them within the local church. Will you come and join us this summer and be a part of what God is doing in this land?
