Application Deadlines

The latest you can apply is 1st March 2012. We would urge you to apply as soon as possible as places are limited and are already filling up!

Age

The Edge is aimed at people aged between 18-28. All applicants must be 18 or older before departure date, although we can be flexible on the upper age!

Faith

You must have a commitment to follow Jesus as you prepare, learn and serve this summer. You will need to agree to the Pioneers statement of faith and Edge policies found in the application form.

Passport

You will need a valid passport that must have a minimum of 6 months before the expiry date.

Prior to Departure

You will need to be in the UK for two months prior to the departure date (to allow for vaccinations and fundraising etc).

Support

You must have the support of your local church.

Financial Agreement

You will need to commit to raising the full cost of your Edge trip and 50% must be raised by the 7th of May 2012.

You will need to make your own travel arrangements to and from orientation and debrief – these are not covered in the cost of the trip.

Small Print

If a team is cancelled due to reasons on the field, you will be placed on another team of your choice (based on availability). The estimated costs include orientation and debrief, flights, visas, insurance, and in-country costs. The most expensive items are normally the flights and taxes. Some costs, which are outside of our control, may fluctuate. Costs that are higher than estimated will not be passed on to the team member, unless significantly higher. Pioneers does not profit financially from short-term mission - in fact we subside them - as it is our desire to mentor people towards mission.
