Help rural villagers through a variety of community development endeavours, including teaching bee keeping to locals.

A team in South Asia seeks to minister to unreached villagers through various community development and business projects. The team currently run a tuition centre for children where they teach basic computer skills, and Spoken English and help with homework. They are eager to welcome people with other skills who might help start small agriculture-based businesses or teach basic business skills to rural people.

The team are particularly looking for people who can train adults in agriculture-based businesses, especially someone who is able to train villagers in bee keeping, which would provide an income and ward off wild elephants which pose problems to the villagers.

Prayer warriors are also very welcome. If this mission opportunity sounds like you, why not get in touch? One of our mobilisers would be happy to chat with you about this and other possibilities.

The missionary will need to raise funds to join this ministry.

Not exactly what you’re looking for? Pioneers has hundreds of opportunities to serve cross-culturally – far too many to post on our website. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, get in touch with our mobilisation team to find out about our many other opportunities.

This trip will give you a wide variety of experiences. You’ll live in a creative access country and see how teams are using both a non-profit organization and also a business to gain access to four unreached people groups.

During the first part of your journey, you’ll be able to experience language learning and working with a non-profit organization focused on water projects and help for people with disabilities.

The second part and the bulk of your journey will take you to a beautiful remote island where farming and mining are the largest industries. Many people here drive cars, but horse drawn carriages are still a viable and frequently used mode of transportation. Most homes have televisions, but our roads are often congested by water buffalo, horses, goats, or cows. Just about everyone has a cell phone and a Facebook account, but the electricity routinely goes off throughout the day. The religious ceremonies here usually include both an Islamic leader and a witch-doctor. This is an island of contrasts!

On this part of the trip, you’ll have the opportunity to live with the locals, experience what their lives are like, and enjoy a variety of adventure activities like: surfing, spearfishing, rock climbing, and caving. You’ll also learn the long term approach we are using to share the good news and have opportunities to use what you learn everyday.

Are you ready for an adventure?

Several teams in North Africa are looking for energetic, adventurous people to join them.

After more than a century of faithful work in the region, there are now believing groups in every major city. Praise God! But with a total of less than 5000 active Christians, there is so much still to do! Many towns of 100,000 have no known Christian and no workers. Our challenge is to go beyond the major cities and make the Good News of Jesus available to all.

Long term, it is not difficult to set up in business, there are widespread needs for rural and health development, there are opportunities to offer healthcare (though not to practice hands-on medicine) and there is always a need for teachers.

Other opportunities/needs include:

  • IT Consulting
  • Teaching art or music
  • Entrepreneurs
  • Tourism services
  • Agriculture
  • Martial Arts

Team members must be willing to learn at least two languages. You must also be willing to spend much of your time building relationships and spending time with local people. Having professional skills and experience as well as the ability to work autonomously is also a plus. There are currently six teams in the area, so there’s a lot of opportunity to find one that fits you and your gifts.

Be part of an agricultural business focussed on chocolate production and processing.

A new team in rural Oceania is looking for help growing (literally!) their chocolate business. They are looking for a person or multiple people with agricultural experience to help in establishing and managing chocolate fields as they try to increase production. The role could suit a short or long term candidate. The team have specifically requested short term help (up to a year) initially as one of the two families will be away from July 2018 until the end of the year.

The business provides opportunities to build relationships with people at many different levels of society, from rural farming families to government officials, and we hope that as these relationships grow and deepen, they will lead to life-transforming discipleship movements among all unreached peoples in the area.

If you have agricultural experience and are interested in knowing more, we’d love to hear from you.  Get in touch today!

We run Love Language ministry (part of New Life for All), which is focussed on putting love at the centre of Christian living, especially in relating to Muslims in the challenging circumstances in our country today. Finally, Eden Creation Care Initiative is part of the A Rocha family of Christian conservation organisations, and is putting creation care on the map in our country.
